2004 Season

A Season Remembered, Despite the Missing Records

The 2004 Le Tournoi season featured four events, concluding with the final gathering at South Essex Golf Club (now called The Heron Country Club) in November.

Unfortunately, Chris Asher, the lead organiser, was unable to attend the final event due to injury, and Brett Smith kindly stepped in to oversee proceedings on the day.

Regrettably, the detailed results from South Essex were not preserved, leaving a gap in our historical records. However, thanks to the names engraved on the original trophies, we have been able to confirm that Lee Denyer won the final event, along with the identity of the 2004 Order of Merit winner, Dan Czaplinski.

As a result, while we can recognise the season's major winners, we are unable to reconstruct the full Order of Merit league table or publish the detailed results from South Essex.

Despite these gaps, the surviving records provide a valuable snapshot of the 2004 season and an opportunity to recognise those who took part and celebrated success throughout the year.
