How Le Tournoi Works
Le Tournoi is a golf society built around regular golf, friendly competition and enjoying the game with a familiar group of players.
Membership
Our annual membership fee is currently £20.
Membership allows players to participate in our annual League competitions and benefit from discounted rates at our Major events.
We welcome new players as Guests, so there's no need to commit to membership before experiencing a Society day.
We ask players who wish to become Members to join by their second event. If they choose not to join by that point, they're welcome to continue playing as Guests for the remainder of the calendar year, but cannot become Members until the following year.
Our Golfing Calendar
We hold nine Society events each year: eight competitive events from March through October, followed by a more relaxed Christmas Society event in late November or early December.
The eight competitive events comprise three Major championships and five standard League events.
The Christmas event is a more casual occasion and sits outside the annual League competition.
Society Event Wins
Every event offers the opportunity to compete for victory on the day. Whether you're a Member or a Guest, you can win an individual event. Winning on the day is a separate achievement from the League points awarded to eligible Members.
The League Championship
Our eight competitive events contribute towards the annual League Championship. Members earn League points based on their performances throughout the season, with their results contributing towards their position in the League table.
The Order of Merit
Our three Major championships also contribute towards a separate annual competition known as the Order of Merit. This recognises performance across the Major events, providing another championship to compete for alongside the League.
Playing as a Guest
Guests are welcome at every Society event and can compete for the individual event victory. Guests do not participate in the annual League Championship or Order of Merit standings.
It's a great way to get to know the Society, enjoy the golf and decide whether membership is right for you.
